An Elder Sister...
New phases, adventures, my heart rejoices
A step, few jumps - the journey proceeds.
When the turn comes my way,
I look behind to find footprints,
Footprints - of steps copying my walk.
An elder sister I am, to two little ones.
Their world looks up to me.
Them I wish to be pretty ladies
Smart and successful one day.
My tears won't go unnoticed,
Folds on my page would hurt them
Two pairs of eyes questioning,
Di, can we make you alright?
Beloved cuties, pray they worry not!
Both my strengths, I won't fail you.
Like all the toys and love we share,
We'll build castles of dreams,
We'll colour clouds of joy.
Earlier a lump of worry in my throat,
Happy I am to be an elder sister.
Careful and carefree, at the same time.
I'll never give up,
For the girls out there, watching me.
