A tour to my Kitchen <O_o>
The last week I
relished time with the first person of my life, my Momma...!
I celebrated a
Mom-Daughty week and it turned out to be my best one. And as usual, I
ended up with a poem, words too less to describe the huge love we share-
A morning I was out of my bed
Drowsiness showed its mark on me.
Nonetheless a promise I had made
My duty today of tiffins and tea.
Yawning long, to kitchen, I journeyed
Chopping, Mom said, was the first task.
I never knew capsicums are so dramatic
They slip as if for mercy they ask.
After few tough minutes of veggies
Next came cooking the Daal and rice
Just followed instructions lifelessly
I wasn't sure if better to act wise.
Dad's up, wishing for a tea
Done it in a jiffy, I call it Multi-tasking
The Chappatis are still a headache
Doing CA wasn't so much bothering.
When the lunch was almost made,
The kitchen looked decorated in a mess
Cleaning, least of my interests any day,
Yet I happily cleared this pretty mess.
Okay, so they call you the home minister
Today came a realization you are lots more
Oh Momma, I'd be lucky if I be like you
Nothing I do could match your score.
To all the pretty ladies of my life,
I write a message with a lesson I'd learnt.
Stay beautiful, a girl, a lady or a wife
Life would be hell if we weren't.
With Love,
Darshana :)
